I love Culver's! Since we live in California, we are not able to visit one as often as we would like. I was so excited to discover Culver's in the Salt Lake City area. My husband and I always have butter burgers, which are very good. We get cheese curds as our sides, which are delicious. Not healthy, but worth it! My husband loves their root beer and always gets that to drink. This time I ordered a mint milk shake thing they were featuring. I didn't care for it, it wasn't what I was expecting, but my husband loved it. If you like shamrock shakes from McDonald's you would probably love their mint milk shake.

My husband and I ordered burgers and shakes. The burgers were both that great. But the shakes were damn good.

I went to my first Culvers while living in Missouri. When I need a good fried chicken fix, this is where I go. There fries are delicious too.

I was skeptical at first. This butter burger thing sounded horrible. However, sometimes names can be deceiving and I was very impressed by the time I left. My coworker brought me here for lunch because he loves their custard. Of course I had to see what the buzz was about. I ordered the cheddar butter burger meal with cheese curds as a side. The burger was made fresh to order with my toppings of choice. The burger itself was thin and I can see why there are so many "double" burgers on the menu. The burger was flavorful and not too dry. I have never had fried cheese curds before and this seemed unique so I gave it a try. Not bad. A mix of yellow and white cheddar curds breaded and fried perfectly crispy. The drink selection was very ample, with both sweetened and unsweetened tea available. They even had strawberry soda on the fountain selection. After looking at my receipt, I noticed I could get free custard for filling out a survey. CHA CHING! I jumped on my phone and filled out the survey and got a code. I ordered a small dish of the flavor of the day, which happened to be caramel fudge cookie dough. This was the best custard I have ever tasted. It was deliciously smooth, soft and you could really taste the egg in this fresh delight. Free stuff always rates high on my yelp reviews. Also, they had a cooler full of pints of various concretes that you could take to go. Not a bad idea. Looking around this place, I noticed it was immaculate and there was a small army of employees washing windows and wiping up the floors and tables. The service is very friendly and they bring the food to your table with a smile. When you bus your table, I couldn't help to notice they had plastic recycling. I can't tell you how happy that made me and wish other places cared that much about the waste they create. As I was leaving I noticed how nice and cheery their landscaping and window planters looked. Wow Culvers... you did me right!

The two stars are for the food. The butter burger is fabulous, I love the crinkle fries and my husband upgrades to the yummy onion rings for $1. The three blank stars are three strikes on the staff. Three visits and each time the employees were sullen and rude. Won't go back. There are plenty of good burger places around without cranky employees.

One of our friends posted a picture of the cheese curds on her facebook wall a few months before our trip so I was looking forward to this place with eager anticipation! The cheese curds were as good as I could have hoped- what's not to love about deep fried cheese? The custard was good as well. I love how they have so many toppings you can choose from to create your own dessert! Also nice is their flavor of the day for those who aren't so creative or can't make a decision on what ingredients they'd like to blend! The only thing we didn't like about this place was the burger. We ordered a mushroom swiss burger and when it came out, I didn't know what to think. You could smell that it was burnt and it did have a burnt crusty edge. Also, it was the thinnest hamburger patty I've ever seen, about the thickness of about 3 slices of sandwich lunchmeat. Sad. Thankfully we ordered a double patty. Not a big fan of the burger at all but I'd come back for the cheese curds and custard.

Today I went to culvers drive thru I could barely understand the greeter, I drove up paid for my food and was given the wrong order of a vanilla concrete mixer I ordered chocolate so I told the lady she looked at me like I was nuts and said "you ordered a regular concrete mixer I again said I ordered chocolate, she took the item back slammed the window shut with her back to me the whole time, she finally turned around handed me the correct order and reluctantly told me to have a nice day. What ever happened to employees apologizing for their mistakes to their customers? An apology would have prevented me in writing this review. The food was great but the service sucked.

Just ate here for dinner with my boyfriend and it was great! The cashier was friendly, we didn't have to wait to long for our food, and it tasted delicious! I had a cod fish sandwich with cheese curds and a turtle sundae. The pecans were a little too salty for me but other than that it was an overall 5 stars.

Mediocre food. I've only ate there once and I wasn't impressed. I might try again one day and try something else.

Meh, indeed. I was excited to see a frozen custard place on the west side, but it turns out this is nothing like Nielsen's, Farr's, Snelgrove (for those that remember them) etc, or other locally owned. It's a franchise restaurant that's based in Wisconsin... And the product was just lack luster. The chain is just another homogenized "let's make things pretty and give mediocre products" I went for frozen custard, I got was just flavorless. Sad, really. Because I know it will appeal to the masses, I give them 2 stars instead of one.

I am very surprised that Culver's has not been reviewed, they have been in the SLC area for a couple years and they have recently opened a new location in West Valley. Culver's started in Wisconsin and they are proud of the products from the region including cheese and butter. I have gone to the new West Valley location a couple of times recently for lunch and it is a very good lunch option. For the most part they are a burger joint but they have plenty of other options. Noteworthy are the sides, besides fries you have the option of sweet potato fries, cheese curds, slaw, green beans, mashed potatoes, etc. You can also partake of there array of soups and chili. They have an option for something they call a Snak Pak (I believe), which is a small combo meal with sandwich, fries and a small drink and the prices start at $4.00, very reasonable. The food is very tasty, the burgers are fresh and tasty, the fries are big crinkle fries with lots of flavor and you have an option to add chili and cheese as I did last time I was there. The chili is a red chili with beans, very good. One thing that makes Culver's standout from other fast food burger joints, besides their larger variety than average, is their service. They are extremely friendly at the counter and they have a friendly person that walks around the dinning room filling drinks and cleaning up as you complete your meal. The extra service is a nice addition and adds to the overall experience.

This place arrived to Utah with high fanfare of the butter burger and their amazing shakes and ice cream. So I, being a foodie put it on my list of places to try. I got their single hamburger and a blueberry shake. The burger was nothing special and I can make better at home...being frank I would prefer the six dollar burger from Carl's Jr. Their ice cream and shakes however are very delicious. I think I would still rather go to Neilsen's frozen custard in Salt Lake but it is a solid alternative to satisfy the ice cream craving.

First visit they have a large selection of food & sides. I loved their diet root beer hard to get decent diet drinks. I took home some custard that was to die for gave 4 stars since it was my only visit so far

I am going to give it 4 stars. The only reason I didn't give a five is the fries seem to be straight from Wal-mart frozen section. Reasons for giving a good rating... 1. The buns they use are very very delicious 2. I absolutely love the mushroom & Swiss burger 3. Their service is better than almost all the other fast food places, the other that compares is Chick-Fillet 4. Their ice cream is great! For me, I was much more excited about this place than I was about In & Out Burger. And I still am.

The food is alright. I don't really like their fries, but if they're doused in chili, cheese, and fry sauce it doesn't really make a difference in the end. I ordered a burger with cheese and bacon that I was relatively satisfied with, though the highlight was the bun. My friend ordered a burger with the works and he got a skimpy piece of tomato and some wilted shredded lettuce. If you like a plain-ish burger, they're fine. If you like the fixings, this may not be the place for you. What bumped this down to a two is the experience we had. The girl working the window handed us our drinks, waited a second, then asked if we needed something else. Uh... our food? So she hands us a number (why?) and tells us to pull forward. Pretty standard. We sat there for five or so minutes, not too bad since we were informed the food is made as it's ordered. While we waited, another car pulled in, and I suppose this is where the number should have been handy. However, when another girl brought our food out, she walked straight past us. My friend leaned out the window and caught her, and she acted like she was surprised to see us sitting there. Apparently, we were supposed to put the number tag on the door handle. Not that we were informed. Overall, not a terrible experience or anything, but I see no reason to go back. The staff acted clueless and the food isn't any better than something I can get at Burger King when I want fast food. If I want a nice burger, I'll just head to 5 Guys.

Ummm this place was alright. The burger was nothing special. We got the colby jack burger. I didn't taste the steak sauce that was supposed to be on it. The onion bun was good. The cheese curds were good. My friend asked for fry sauce and they claimed to be out but we could see a bucket of the packets in the back. The best thing was the custard. Eh i might go back.

I like their burgers, but I feel that the patty is a little thin and can char pretty easily, which some may like, but I do not prefer that. Some days they are out of fry sauce, which is a bummer. They have a $5 snack pack meal that is really good for your price, other items may be a little more spendy, but are pretty good.

Being from Wisconsin, I LOVE Culvers. I was literally jumping for joy when I heard the first one was opening in Utah. I love their frozen custard and their selection of delicious food. The cheese curds are my favorite snack! The burgers are good. I like that they use fresh, never frozen meat. It makes a difference. I like that they have 3 different kinds of cheese choices: cheddar, american, and swiss. Compared to other burger joints like five guys, this is a major plus! Have a good cheese like cheddar on a burger really makes a difference. Other items I like are the pot roast, cod fish sandwich or fish dinner, fire grilled chicked sandwich (with organic chicken), prime rib sandwich, chicken cashew salad, and the seasonal strawberry fields salad with chicken. As you can see, they have a huge selection and lots of great food! The reason why I didn't give this location 5 stars is because the 2 times that I went here for lunch I experienced EXTREMELY slow service. One time I was picking up lunch for 4 coworkers and it took 23 minutes from when we ordered to get all of the correct food that we ordered.

Love this place! Best restaurant Root Beer that I have every tasted!! Menu price is on the higher end for fast food. But it's higher quality for sure. Try the cheese curds!
